Introduction

The New Zealand Giant Weta lives in the Mahoenui Reserve in the Waikato. This Weta has been in NZ for so long.

Physical Features

This Weta has an exo-skeleton.

Male Weta don’t have that many spikes but if you compare it to a female Weta, the female will have more spikes.

Diet

This Weta

eats gorse flowers and other invertebrate creatures smaller than itself.

Habitat

Some Giant Weta live in the Mahoenui Reserve only in the Waikato region ,New Zealand.

Predators

This Weta has a main predator which is rats because they’re are big and the Weta only uses its back leg to defend it self.

Main Threats

The Weta’s Habitat can be deadly destroyed easily because gorse is highly flammable.

Behaviour

This Giant Weta is very gentle in other words placid.

Conclusion

The Giant Weta have even been around with the dinosaurs 190 million years ago.

Geometry Pacifica patterns

Yesterday I was on Pacifica patterns
learning my symmetry and geometry. I had created a mat on pacifica patterns and we had to figure out lines of symmetry and rotation of geometry.
This is a really helpful game to learn geometry.

Math Magician

Today I was on Math Magician learning my divisions. I learnt my 3 divide by under 60 seconds. I recieved 100%. I think I'm good at my 3 divisions so I think I'm going to try my 4 divisions now. If you want to try this game you can click the link.

Design your own Park

Today I was learning how to make a park with fractions. First it showed me what numbers to put in the small boxes which were number 2 and 4..
It showed me the grid as you can see the grid was split into eight boxes. Then I put some swings and a pond which took up 1 quarter of the box.

Shoot the Hoop

Today in maths I was playing a fractions game. I had to make the fraction numbers to make 1 whole. Once you make 1 whole you press the red arrow and the ball will go in the hoop.

My Wonderful Weekend

Wow!! What a wonderful afternoon going to a big party and performing. My sister and I were performing for my cousins 21st and we did 2 dances. The hall was surrounded with people. There was a live band and it was so cool. After my sister and I had danced we went to go and count all our money. We made a lot and then we went to go and watch the others perform. I reckon their performance was better.

Snow due to the South Island

Huge weather has been caused down in the South Island. Schools and roads have been closed down. The power is out to around 4000 households in South Taranaki , Manawatu ,Whanganui and Wairarapa. Airports has also been hit by the weather. 150 passengers has been stranded at the Dunedin airport. Mail deliveries has been canceled
