Netbook Reflection 2013

Having a netbook connected to the internet helped me learn ,create, and share. I do all sorts of work on it. Blogging my work online is a huge opportunity, because I get to show my work and people all around the world can access it. People can comment on our posts.

This year I’ve learned a lot of things from using a netbook. I learnt how to write in a template that my teacher shared with us. All alone, I learned how to blog presentations. My friend also helped me with reimaging netbooks. One of the technicians taught me some shortcuts on Google docs. I've told others how to get on our sites, and how to comment thoughtful positive and helpful comments. Ive been able to view text from sites, and I’ve also been able to practice my math on Math Whizz.

Long Weekend Recount

Long weekend-
On Saturday Joan Alex and I walked to the bus stop. There we catched the bus and headed to mission to have some ice cream. When we jumped off the bus we walked to Kiwi Yo. It was nice and cool inside but packed with lots of people. Alex Joan and I then grabbed our cup and walked towards the ice cream station. I filled my cup with mango sorbet and then I put in little chopped up pieces of strawberry and went to go weigh it so that I could pay for it. I payed for mine then went outside and waited for Alex and Joan.

Then we headed down to the beach and had a little play in the water. The water was really warm and calm. After that we had a sand castle competition and I failed at building it. Joan shouted my name out and I was looking confused until I saw her where the big fountain was. She jumped in and was swimming like a little girl with other random little kids. I left Joan where she was and went to go look for Alex, while I was walking I spotted him on the adventure park.

Finally we decided to head back home, but instead we catched the bus to G.I and went to the Mcdonalds to have a little feed. We bought our food and sat down inside the park. Alex first finished his food and went to play on the park. It was around 5:30pm and we walked back home together. On our way back home we were planing about the next day and what we were going to do. We all decided to Ding Dong Ditch peoples house because we knew it was going to be a boring day. Overall we all had fun playing eating and many more things we did. I hope to do it again.

Racing the bell

Talk to your partner about the kind of breakfast you usually eat. Whats your favourite and why?
I never usually eat breakfast but out of all my favourite cereal to eat is Special K because to me its healthy.

If you’ve ever skipped breakfast how did make you feel? Did you notice anything about your energy level during the day?
Since I always skip breakfast it feels normal but then I become tired a bit during the day.

Look through the story together. What effects did missing breakfast have on Kate? How could she have avoided this?
Kate really struggled in the test, Kate couldn’t do well in P.E if she had breakfast.

Your heart beats faster when you exercise a lot. Your heart beats faster to get more oxygen.

God of Nations! at Thy feet,
In the bonds of love we meet,
Hear our voices we entreat,
God defend our free land.
Guard Pacific's triple star
From the shafts of strife and war,
Make her praises heard afar,
God defend New Zealand.

Dance Fever

Thursday 21 November 2013

On a hot but rainy day we had Dance Fever. Today we started off with our cha-cha and then we got straight into the Fox-trot. On one side of the hall Captain was teaching the boys they're part of the dance and on the other Christina was teaching the girls. The steps were easy to learn and then at the end we practice our Hip-Hop routine twice. Finally at the end instead of playing a little game as we usually did we learnt another fun hip-hop routine and out of all songs we had to dance to Gangnam Style. Everyone went crazy when the chorus began especially the girls goig hard out.

Overall this was one of the best sessions ever

When we were at camp it began with a splash

When we were at camp it began when I heard a splash down at the beach. Megan and Ben hopped out of the car and ran down to the beach. Megan was 13 and Ben was 14 but Megan was the more mature one in their family. The beach they went to was at Muriwai, it was the most bestest beach ever in history to be found. It also has the biggest waves.

Megan and Ben went back to the car. As they got there they both pulled out their tents and began setting it up. Juts with a quick of a switch Megans tent was up. Ben wandered around without Megan knowing. Ben got to a point where he lost his way back to the car. He was panicking.

Megan turned around and Ben was gone. Megan tried calling her parents but there was no service. Ben was screaming for help. There was a huge wave coming towards him but he was allergic to salt water. “WOOOSH” was the sound that the waves made. Megan rushed out to sea and tried to bring him back, but at the same time she was trying to call her parents but there was still no service. “Help” cried Ben, Megan grabbed his hand a pulled him to shore. “Never ever do that Ben” muttered Megan with a bit of a shiver. Megan walked with Ben back to their tent spot and settled down while they were waiting for their parents to come.

The End
